Platform Enhancements and New Features: Improved Indexes, Multi-Language Support and Note-Taking Capabilities

As we continue our journey to provide the best possible support for sports performance and grounds management, we’re excited to share the latest updates to our platform. This month, we’ve made several improvements to enhance the accuracy and usability of our tools. From refined index calculations to enriched multi-language capabilities and added note-taking options, these changes are designed to help you gain more from your analyses. Here’s a closer look at what’s new.

Enhanced Player, Injury, and Boot Indexes

Our Advanced Analytics indexes—Player, Injury, and Boot—have been fine-tuned based on recent user feedback and deeper data insights. These updates mean you’ll now see even more accurate and relevant assessments, making it easier to identify optimal footwear and monitor surface conditions for player safety.

Our Boot Index has improved its precision in evaluating traction properties to recommend the ideal footwear, offering more refined choices between conservative and aggressive outsoles. Similarly, the Injury Index now provides an even sharper analysis of mechanical properties (Impact, Energy, Grip), making it more reliable for surface state evaluation. These refinements offer more reliable insights, empowering you with data that supports both safety and performance at every step.

Index Uniformity and Aggregated Data View

To provide a streamlined experience, we’ve standardized the formatting of all indexes, making them visually consistent and easier to compare. This uniformity enhances readability and ensures a cohesive presentation of data, whether you’re reviewing Player, Injury, or Boot indexes.

In addition, we’ve introduced an aggregated data view for each playing surface, allowing you to select custom time frames to view data trends. By default, data is displayed for the last 31 days, offering a quick snapshot of the recent period. Have an in-depth exploration to discover seasonal patterns across your playing surface. This expanded view supports data-driven decision-making, allowing for both immediate insights and strategic planning over longer periods.

New Features: Boot index

Raw Boot Index update

Our Raw Boot Index has been significantly refined to better serve users by incorporating both customer feedback and expert insights. Initially launched as a proof of concept, the Boot Index has evolved to deliver a more accurate analysis of traction properties, helping players and coaches make informed footwear choices that align with specific playing surface conditions.

With enhanced precision, the updated Boot Index now allows players and coaches to fine-tune footwear selection, from conservative to aggressive outsoles, which can be tailored to training objectives or playing style. By blending user feedback with industry expertise, the improved Boot Index equips users with data-backed recommendations that support safety and enhance performance, bringing reliability and depth to footwear decision-making.

Injury Risk Index Update

The ‘Injury Index’ has also been improved to deliver a higher level of sensitivity, providing a more nuanced analysis of playing surface conditions that may contribute to injury risk. This sensitivity boost means the Injury Index can better capture surface factors like the level and consistency of Impact, Energy, and Grip, which are critical when assessing how surface conditions might affect injury risks.

It’s essential to approach the Injury Index as one part of a multifactorial injury risk assessment. While this index provides valuable data on surface conditions, it’s important to consider it alongside other risk factors, such as player conditioning, training load, and environmental elements. Using the Injury Index in conjunction with these broader factors helps create a well-rounded, data-informed perspective on injury risk, supporting a holistic approach to player safety.

Expanded Multi-Language Support

We’re thrilled to announce that our platform’s multi-language capabilities have been expanded. Following our initial rollout, data interpretations and insights for the Raw Player Football tests are now also available in Dutch, French, and Spanish. This update ensures that essential data and analysis are more accessible to teams across regions, allowing them to gain valuable insights in their preferred language.

To ensure that our translated advice accurately reflects the technical jargon and nuances of each language, we’re committed to making continuous improvements and edits. Customer feedback will play a significant role in optimizing these translations, helping us align with the specific terminology and phrasing used in each region. We value this input, as it will allow us to refine and adapt language support to meet the needs of our diverse user base.

Keep an eye out as we continue to expand language options across more features, making insights more accessible and actionable for everyone.

New Analysis Note-Taking Capabilities

Efficient and organized data review is essential to understanding test results. To support this, we’ve introduced the ability to add summaries or additional notes directly within each analysis. Now, as soon as you create or update notes, they’ll automatically appear in the test overview, providing at-a-glance context for your assessments. This feature is designed to streamline your workflow and make collaboration with teammates easier, whether you’re logging insights from the latest pitch evaluation or tracking player performance progress.

Sneak Peek: Upcoming New Features for Targeted Advice and Test Summaries

While we’re still polishing a few of the final touches, we couldn’t resist giving you a sneak peek into what’s coming next! Soon, you’ll have access to separate advice tailored specifically for grounds teams and performance/medical staff, accessible with a quick toggle between player and pitch settings. Additionally, our new summary feature will offer a quick overview of all tests at the top of the analysis screen, simplifying the data you need most.

What’s Next?

We’re committed to building tools that help you gain deeper insights and streamline your work. We look forward to sharing more details as these exciting features become fully available. In the meantime, we encourage you to explore the newly enhanced platform and see how these updates can support your goals.

As always, we appreciate your feedback. Don’t hesitate to share your thoughts on these updates or suggest new features through Raw Connect.
